About Suren Maharaj, CMA
Under the guidance of Suren Maharaj, CMA, Universal Tax has enjoyed and continues to enjoy outstanding leadership. Suren graduated with honors from the University of West Indies in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has been a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario since 2001. Suren has worked in the field of public accounting since 1997. His experience and qualifications allow him to provide accounting services that include personal and corporate tax preparation, tax and estate planning and business advisory and CFO services. He also regularly renders special advisory services regarding acquisitions, audit appeals, corporate reorganizations, and mergers. Suren has also represented and given advice for clients with matters before the Tax Court of Canada. He also provides tax advice and representation with matters involving the Canada Revenue Agency and various provincial taxation authorities.
